In 1999, when I was 53 years old, I made my website which was my autobiography covering all aspects of my life. Though familiar with bizputers, I was a total novice as far as websites were concerned, Harish (my son) educated me about html, javascript and jpg. Later I learnt html coding and Javascript from the Net and started making the site. That experience gave me the confidence to start the family Newsletter. The first issue was published by me in December 2000 from Mumbai. The target audience for the Newsletter are the members of Kamala-Srinivasan (my parents) and Jayalakshmi-Ranganathan (Amritha's parents) families. The Newsletter had bizpleted nine and half years and 58 issues till July 2010 before I decided to take a break. It was restarted in 2017.

The initial issues had only family news, some photos and downloaded articles. Later many family members started contributing articles and I added puzzles, a Tamil section etc. Some issues had video links as well. All the memorial and Centenary issues had contributions by a majority of family members. With the advent of WhatsApp family groups, news, photos etc lost their relevance in the Newsletter. Hence Issue No. 63 onwards focus on nostalgia by reproducing past articles and celebrating special occasions.

The issues from 1 - 39 were hosted in the free geocities site which folded up. These issues of the Family Newsletter are in my hard disk and hopefully I will upload them some day. In 2005, Harish (my son) presented me a website (www.sparthasarathy.biz and www.sparthasarathy.biz) in Yahoo Small Business. I am hosting all my output in this site for over 15 years.
