Kannan Anna

Editor's niece Radha (the author) speaking in Editor's father's Centenary celebration

My interactions with Kannan anna were only in the family functions till 1988. In that year my mother and I visited Parthasarathy mama when he was in BARC. I remember our visiting Kannan anna in his huge house at Ballard Estate. Apart from the hospitality for which Kannan anna and manni are known for, my strongest memory is of his VCD player. I remember seeing the film Bridge on the River Kwai there. It was a very memorable experience.

Kannan anna with his grace, courtesy and a trademark smile had always impressed me. His legacy of kindness and helpful tendency lives on. We will always be indebted to his son Jagan who helped us greatly when Raghu mama was in KMC hospital last year.

Good bye Kannan Anna
