This Divya Desam consists of two temples, viz.,
I - TIRUVALI and
II - TIRUNAGARI
Tirunagari is the avatharasthalam of Tirumangai Azhwar. A separate sannadhi exists for the Azhwar (in the form of a hunter) in this temple. The famous Vedupari Uthsavam is held at Vedarajapuram near this place, where Azhwar waylaid the travellers for temple funds. On one such occasion from the foot, the Lord shows His real form with Lakshmi gives Tirumantra Upadesha. The name Kalyana Ranganatha is given as the Lord gave darshan in bridal attire. Kumudavalli, the Azhwar's wife was brought up at Tiruvali.
