Daily Thaila Abhishekam (oil bath) for the Lord is conducted and the oil is stored in a well of 25X15 feet. It is believed that one gets relieved of all illness if this oil is consumed.
As per sthala purana, Sindhu King became a dog due to a curse by Kushasana Maharishi. He regained his original form of a king after taking bath in Setrutthamai Pushkarni. Urvashi and Thilotthama performed tapas and by the Lord's grace are standing beside Him and are performing kainkarya. The Satari has Sri Satakopan's (Nammazhwar) image cast on it. The Lord gives Darshan as in Sri Vaikunta along with Sridevi and Bhoodevi atop the Vaikunta Vimanam here.

This Kshetra is at about 29 kms from Tirunelveli on road to Nagerkovil.
